Carpe Diem, Hvar

Hvar Day is the one of the biggest days on The Yacht Week.  We had the whole morning to enjoy ourselves on Hvar before regrouping in the afternoon for a big party at Carpe Diem.

Some of the crew went exploring the island by foot while others enjoyed a long lunch by the seaside.  I'm not really sure where my morning got away to - it got lost somewhere between sipping sparkling wine and tanning on the yacht!  Before I knew it, it was time to get our party dresses on and make our way to Carpe Diem by water taxi.

A and P came in matching nautical stripes.

Danny and I didn't coordinate our outfits quite as well …

Danny's crew from the week before gave him a leopard jacket for their Yacht Week costume.  He's been very attached to it ever since - he has been wearing this flamboyant jacket at every opportunity he gets.  I'm a bit worried!

The party starts at 5pm and wraps up at 9pm (to be continued elsewhere!).  So with that in mind, everyone knows to arrive at Carpe Diem on time.

Within minutes of arrival, we all had our hands full of drinks and were dancing on tables.

It was another amazing evening as the sun went down in Hvar.

After Carpe Diem, the crowds spilled out into the Old Town of Hvar.

It really is a beautiful Old Town, I'm sorry we were in a bit of a silly state to appreciate it more!

Next, we went hunting for burgers ...

After a (surprisingly good) dinner of greasy burgers, my camera went away but rest assured we 'seized the day' and partied on until the early hours of the morning.  Carpe diem!  (Or as the millennials would say, #yolo!)
