Hula Hula Beach Bar
We were on the Red Route of The Yacht Week and each day the parties got bigger and better. (The Black Route does the same route in the opposite direction, in case you're deciding between the two.)
By far, my favourite island was Hvar. On the morning that we sailed from Šćedro to Hvar, the day began like every other morning on the yacht.
With a hot breakfast that our mums would be proud of!
Unfortunately, not all of the other boats were sailing away so easily.
We tugged along this other boat behind us who were having engine problems.
Is that the most impressive dinghy that you've seen attached to a yacht or what?!
We didn't move very fast with an extra yacht attached to us, but it's just as well that we were on holiday time.
Aloha from the ladies of the boat!
Talysa tried her hand at steering today.
With her great steering skills (and maybe a little help from Skipper Danny), we arrived at Palmizana within a few hours.
We docked quickly and jumped off the boat.
Only to get on another boat - a little water taxi speed boat that zipped us across from Palmizana Bay to the main part of Hvar Island.
When I say 'zipped' - I mean we jumped up and down and flew across the water. It was a boat ride not for the fainthearted!
We arrived at Hvar and made our way to Hula Hula Beach Bar.
Hula Hula is the best place to be for drinks at sunset.
Just remember to pace yourself so that you can keep having fun into the night!
Hawaiian leis and jugs with long straws are essential here ;)
Yep, we were having a hula-va good time!
(Oh dear!)
It was certainly a night to remember!
… and a not-so-memorable night for others (I'm looking at you JS!).
But overall, our crew rated Hula Hula as the best party of the week. That's a lot to say when this is one of the best weeks of your life!
