Santa Cesarea Terme

Last day in Puglia, and what better way to spend it than lounging in sun beds at a beach club?

Santa Cesarea Terme is a tiny little town in the most southern tip of Puglia. You would be forgiven for thinking the town was much larger than it is when you visit Bagno Marino Archi - this beach club attracts locals from surrounding towns and travellers from near and far. It’s a typical Italian family bagno - you won’t find any pretentious beach club goers here and that’s the way we like it. What you will get is local families enjoying time with their kids, pools and pontoons to swim to your heart’s desire, and fresh Apulian seafood at the club bistro. Even one year on, Pete and I still reminisce about the best prawn orichiette dish we ate here … at this very bagno of all places!
